Ukraine plans to export 3.5 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds to China

In 2014/15 MY the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine plans to export 3.5 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds to China within the credit agreement, declared the Head of the processing department of the Corporation, the Supervisory Director of the public organization “Flour Millers of Ukraine” Sergey Sakirkin on July 17, 2014.

S.Sakirkin stated in 2014 the Corporation plans to export wheat, barley, maize, soybean and rapeseed to China. At the same time, barley and maize will be partly realized on the Chinese market, as opposed to re-export to the other countries.

Also, S.Sakirkin mentioned that in 2013/14 MY the corporation exported to China nearly 3 mln tonnes of grain, as opposed to the plan (4 mln tonnes).

The expert added that export possibilities of the corporation are limited by the shipment capacity of its grain terminals. At the same time, the corporation plans to build terminal in the Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk funded with the commodity value of the Chinese credit.

According to the S.Sakirkin the corporation plans to allocate credit funds on modernization of flour milling branches, especially of the Odessa oblast enterprises.
