Russia to impose safeguard measures in the case of Ukraine's ratification of the AA with the EU without consultation with Moscow
Russia will impose protective measures against Ukrainian commodities on a unilateral basis in the case of Ukraine's ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union without any consultations with the Russian party, declared Alexei Ulyukaev, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, on July 23.
According to him, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the content and text of the Agreement is not the subject of trilateral consultations. Therefore, if Ukraine takes such actions, Russia will no longer keep its obligations to continue consulting, and will be able to take unilateral actions to protect its national economic interests, said A.Ulyukaev.
