The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine forecasts in 2014/15 MY grain production in Ukraine (excluding Crimea) will total 58.26 mln tonnes.
According to the forecast, in the stated period wheat production will total 20.48 mln tonnes, rye – 45 thsd tonnes, barley – 7.32 mln tonnes, maize – 28.42 mln tonnes, oats – 0.51 mln tonnes, rise – 55 thsd tonnes, buckwheat – 169 thsd tonnes, millet – 152 thsd tonnes, and 0.71 mln tonnes of other grains.
New season beginning stocks are estimated at the level of 27.36 mln tonnes of grain. Thus, grain offers will total 66.92 mln tonnes.
The domestic market demand will reach the level of 27.36 mln tonnes of grain, including wheat – 11.54 mln tonnes, barley – 4.69 mln tonnes, rye – 0.53 mln tonnes, maize – 9.15 mln tonnes.
The experts expect grain exports at the level of 32.02 mln tonnes, including 8.52 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.53 mln tonnes of barley, 9 thsd tonnes of rye and 20.65 mln tonnes of maize.
New season end stocks will total 7.53 mln tonnes.
