In August Russia to export 3.5-3.6 mln tonnes of grains – expert
In August 2014 the grain export volumes from Russia may rise to 3.5-3.6 mln tonnes, against 2.83 mln tonnes supplied on foreign markets in July 2014, announced Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on August 5.
He added that the forecasted index exceeds the results of August 2013, when Russia exported 3.48 mln tonnes of grains.
Also, the expert said that to date the available applications for shipment of grains through the deep-sea ports of the Russian Federation in August reached the level of 1.13 mln tonnes, which corresponds to the dynamics of applications received in August 2013 - 1.42 mln tonnes. I.Pavensky stressed that in July 2014 the grain shipment volumes through the deep-sea ports broke the record and reached 1.08 mln tonnes.
