In 2014/15 MY Kazakhstan to export 9 mln tonnes of grains
The export potential of Kazakh grains in 2014/15 MY is estimated at 9 mln tonnes, announced Saktash Khasenov, Chairman of the Committee of state inspection in the agro-industrial complex at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on August 8.
According to him, the expected grain harvest totals nearly 17 mln tonnes, the carry-over stocks - 4 mln tonnes. Therefore, the export potential reaches 8-9 mln tonnes of grains.
He noted that the sales markets for Kazakh grains remain the same: the countries of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Iran. In addition, there is the agreement on increasing of grain exports to China and transit to Southeast Asia.
