In July 2014 Russia broke the record of grain exports – Rusagrotrans
In July 2014 Russia exported the record volumes of grains for the reporting month - 3.12 mln tonnes, which exceeded the similar indicator of the same month last year (2.53 mln tonnes), and the index in July 2011 (2.52 mln tonnes). In particular, in the reporting month wheat formed 2.67 mln tonnes of the export volumes, barley - 387 thsd tonnes, maize - 46.3 thsd tonnes, declared Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on August 12.
Also, he stressed that in August 2014 the export volumes of Russian grains may rise to more than 3.6 mln tonnes. According to the expert, the indices of grain exports through the deep-sea ports of the Russian Federation in the period of August 1-11 support the declared forecast.
In the reporting period of August, grain shipment volumes through the deep-sea ports reached 508 thsd tonnes, which exceeds the record level of 2011/2012 MY (444 thsd tonnes). To date the applications of companies for grain shipment in August total 1.33 mln tonnes, which corresponds to the rates of August 2013, said I.Pavensky.
