Russia: demand in grain storage capacities for the harvest-2014 totals 103-104 mln tonnes - APK-Inform
In 2014/15 MY Russia expects for a good harvest of major agricultural crops, which according to estimations of APK-Inform Agency, is forecasted at the level of 95 mln tonnes of grains, and 13.9 mln tonnes of oilseeds.
According to the dynamic analysis of crops harvest accumulation and distribution, and taking into account the need for additional capacities for technological purposes (nearly 15%), the required capacities of granaries for storing of grain and oilseed crops in 2014 in Russia is estimated at the level of 103-104 mln tonnes.
According to various calculations, to date the general capacity of granaries in Russia is estimated at 118 mln tonnes. Thus, in the current season there will be no significant problems with provision of grain storage capacities in Russia, added the Agency experts.
