Egypt plans to import Russian wheat only until the end of the season
Egypt plans to meet its requirements in import wheat until July 2015, at the expense of increasing of the grain supplies from Russia, declared Hesham Abou El-Dahab, Chairman of the Grain Industry Chamber within the Federation of Egyptian Industries, on August 13, following a Tuesday meeting between the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss bilateral cooperation in the economic and political sides.
At the end of the reporting negotiations V.Putin said Russia is ready to supply 5-5.5 mln tonnes of wheat to Egypt by the end of 2014/15 MY.
