According to operative data as of August 20, Belarus harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 2.332 mln ha, or 99.1% of the plan. The average yield totaled 3.93 t/ha, the production volumes – 9.154 mln tonnes, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
In particular, agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 2.69 thsd ha (14%), and produced 3.97 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 1.48 t/ha. Belarus harvested 0.81 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 0.45 thsd ha (7%), with the yield of 1.8 t/ha. Agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 354.4 thsd ha (88.8%), and produced 805.8 thsd tonnes of the oilseed with the average yield of 2.27 t/ha.
Also, the country started planting winter rapeseed. As of the reporting date Belarus planted rapeseed throughout 110.6 thsd ha (26.6% of the plan).
