As of August 22, Ukraine harvested over 35.1 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to operative data as of August 22, Ukraine harvested 35.136 mln tonnes of early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 9.616 mln ha, or 99% of the planned areas without the Crimea. The average yield totaled 3.65 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukrainian agrarians harvested winter wheat throughout 6.027 mln ha (99%). The produced volumes totaled 24.351 mln tonnes with the yield of 4.04 t/ha.
In addition, agrarians harvested 79 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 54 thsd ha (40%), with the average yield of 1.46 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested 106 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 59 thsd ha (57%). The average yield totaled 1.82 t/ha.
Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 203 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 195 thsd ha (4%), with the average yield of 1.04 t/ha.
Ukraine started harvesting soybeans, and produced 52 thsd tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 29 thsd ha (2%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.79 t/ha.
