Russia exported over 5.8 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agriculture
Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY (July 1), and as of August 20, Russia exported 5.857 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 22.7% compared with the same period of the previous season (4.775 mln tonnes), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation with reference to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia on August 23.
In particular, wheat formed 5.148 mln tonnes of the specified volume, barley - 633 thsd tonnes, maize - 51 thsd tonnes, other crops - 25 thsd tonnes.
In the period of August 1-20, the export volumes of Russian grains totaled 2.742 mln tonnes, including 2.485 mln tonnes of wheat, 246 thsd tonnes of barley, 5 thsd tonnes of barley, 6 thsd tonnes of other grain crops.
