The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to purchase 4-4.5 mln tonnes of grains to the public intervention fund, declared Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on August 27.
According to him, the reporting volumes will be sufficient for regulation of the food market on both feed and milling grains, and in order to support agrarians from decreasing of the commodity prices.
Also, he said that the Ministry has already provided all preparation works, and the public purchasing interventions will begin in the second half of September 2014.
