Ukraine: exports of agricultural products increased by 4.6% in the I half-year – A.Dykun

In January-June of 2014 the exports of Ukrainian agricultural commodities increased by 0.344 bln USD compared with the same period of 2013, and totaled 7.906 bln USD, which is more than 27% of the general exports from the country, declared Andrei Dykun, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on August 27.

According to him, grains form over 37% in the export structure of agricultural commodities, and sunflower oil - 25%.

Also, A.Dykun noted that during 6 months the exports of Ukrainian commodities to the Russian Federation decreased by 31% compared with the same period of 2013, and totaled 1.011 bln USD.

According to him, there is observed the trend for declining the export volumes to Russia, while increasing the supplies of Ukrainian products to other countries. Countries of the EU (33%) and Asia (32%) are the main export destinations for Ukraine, said the Deputy Minister.
