Russia harvested 84.3 mln tonnes of grains

As of September 11, Russia harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 31.5 mln ha or 67.6% of the planned areas (30 mln ha in 2013). The produced volumes reached 84.3 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight (68.3 mln tonnes in 2013). The average yield totaled 2.67 t/ha (2.28 t/ha in 2013), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 17.1 mln ha, or 67.5%. The production totaled 51.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 3.02 t/ha.

Russia harvested winter and spring barley throughout the areas of 7.7 mln ha or 81.7%. The produced volumes totaled 18.9 mln tonnes of the grain, with the yield of 2.45 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested maize for grain throughout 406.6 thsd ha, or 14.9% of the planted areas. The produced volumes reached 2 mln tonnes with the average yield of 4.99 t/ha.

Russia harvested rice throughout 26.1 thsd ha, or 13.3% of the cultivated areas. The production reached 151.3 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 5.79 t/ha.

Russia harvested sunflower seed throughout the areas of 907.1 thsd ha (13.2%). The production totaled 1.8 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 1.99 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested winter and spring rapeseed throughout 605.6 thsd ha or 50% of the planned areas. The production volumes totaled 990 thsd tonnes with the yield of 1.63 t/ha.

Russia harvested 414.7 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout 302.3 thsd ha (15.3% of the plan), with the yield of 1.37 t/ha.

Also, Russian agrarians continued planting winter grains for the harvest-2015. As of the reporting date, Russia planted winter grains throughout the areas of 7.2 mln ha (43.8% of the forecast), against 4.4 mln ha in 2013.
