In Ukraine, in 2014 the general production of grains totaled 36.2 mln tonnes, up 12.3% compared with the rate of 2013, declared the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to the data of the Agency, the sunflower seeds harvest totaled 1.15 mln tonnes (up 3.9% compared to 2013).
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ukraine harvested 37.15 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout of 10.18 mln ha (68%). Besides, the general production of sunflower seeds totaled 3.94 mln tonnes throughout of 2.41 mln ha.
