The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may increase the minimal rent payment for the agricultural lands — to 6% as opposed to the previous 3%. The corresponding Draft Law (reg. №5066) «On the land rent" was registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the document's explanatory note, the 6% rate is economically justified.
Besides, the Draft Law proposes to oblige the renters to pay at least 50% of the annual rent in cash.
