According to operative data as of September 18, Ukraine harvested 38.536 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.512 mln ha, or 71% of the planned areas (excluding the Crimea). The average yield totaled 3.67 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry, on the same date in 2013 Ukraine harvested 34.066 mln tonnes of grains throughout 10.622 mln ha, with the average yield of 3.21 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 2.416 mln tonnes of maize for grain throughout 578 thsd ha (12%), with the average yield of 4.18 t/ha.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested 153 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 108 thsd ha (80%), with the average yield of 1.42 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 166 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 88 thsd ha (87%). The average yield totaled 1.88 t/ha.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 5.539 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 3.227 mln ha (63%), with the average yield of 1.72 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 1.084 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 579 thsd ha (32%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.87 t/ha.

Agrarians planted winter grains throughout 1.472 mln ha (20%), including winter wheat and triticale – 1.405 mln ha, winter rye – 47 thsd ha, winter barley – 21 thsd ha. In addition, winter rapeseed was planted throughout 755 thsd ha (88% of the plan).
