According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as of September 1, 2014, the officials monitored nearly 14.6 mln tonnes of soft wheat of the harvest-2014 (in 2013 - 14.1 mln tonnes). In particular, the share of milling wheat totaled 56% of the reporting volume (8.2 mln tonnes), up 13% (1.47 mln tonnes) compared with the same date in 2013.
The share of A-group wheat totaled 6.4 mln tonnes, or 44% (down 1.1 mln tonnes, or 13%), including 42.4 thsd tonnes of 1-grade wheat (0.29%), 2.07 mln tonnes of 2-grade wheat (14%), 4.3 mln tonnes of 3-grade wheat (29%).
It is noted that the share of B-group wheat totaled 1.796 mln tonnes, or 12%, which almost corresponds to the index in 2013. In particular, 4-grade wheat volumes totaled 625.6 thsd tonnes (4%), 5-grade wheat - 1.17 mln tonnes (8%).
6-grade wheat volumes reached 4.114 mln tonnes, or 28% (up 10%), unclassified wheat – 2.273 wheat, or 16% (up 3%).
As for hard wheat, its volume totaled 86.7 thsd tonnes, as opposed to 75.8 thsd tonnes in 2013.
