According to operative data as of September 22, Ukraine harvested 39.606 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.732 mln ha, or 72% of the planned areas (excluding the Crimea). The average yield totaled 3.69 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry, on the same date in 2013 Ukraine harvested 34.498 mln tonnes of grains throughout 10.727 mln ha, with the average yield of 3.22 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 3.43 mln tonnes of maize for grain throughout 794 thsd ha (17%), with the average yield of 4.32 t/ha.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested 156 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 110 thsd ha (81% of the planned areas), with the average yield of 1.41 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 167 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 89 thsd ha (88%). The average yield totaled 1.88 t/ha.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 6.194 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 3.565 mln ha (69%), with the average yield of 1.74 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 1.338 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 706 thsd ha (39%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.89 t/ha.

Agrarians planted winter grains throughout 2.041 mln ha (27%), including winter wheat and triticale – 1.942 mln ha (31%), winter rye – 63 thsd ha (31%), winter barley – 36 thsd ha (3%). In addition, winter rapeseed was planted throughout 763 thsd ha (89% of the plan).
