In January-August of 2014 the Ukrainian sea ports processed 18.902 mln tonnes of grain cargoes (including 18.098 mln tonnes of grains), an increase of 49.6% compared with the same period in 2013, declared the State Enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In particular, state stevedoring companies processed 2.87 mln tonnes of grains at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (up 94.1% compared with the first eight months of 2013), private stevedoring companies – 6.712 mln tonnes at berths of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (up 39.9%), stevedoring companies at their own berths – 9.319 mln tonnes (up 46.6%).
In addition, in the reporting period the seaports processed 9.964 mln tonnes of liquid bulk cargoes (up 8.8%), including 2.903 mln tonnes of sunflower oil (up 38.5%).
