According to operative data as of September 29, Ukraine harvested 41.213 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 11.065 mln ha, or 75% of the planned areas (excluding the Crimea). The average yield totaled 3.72 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry, on the same date in 2013 Ukraine harvested 35.899 mln tonnes of grains throughout 10.987 mln ha, with the average yield of 3.27 t/ha.

Thus, in 2014 agrarians harvested 5.006 mln tonnes of maize for grain throughout 1.113 mln ha (24%), with the average yield of 4.5 t/ha.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested 160 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 114 thsd ha (84% of the planned areas), with the average yield of 1.4 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 171 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 91 thsd ha (89%). The average yield totaled 1.88 t/ha.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 6.947 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 3.933 mln ha (76%), with the average yield of 1.77 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 1.682 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 870 thsd ha (48%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.93 t/ha.

Agrarians planted winter grains throughout 3.217 mln ha (43%), including winter wheat and triticale – 3.045 mln ha (49%), winter rye – 88 thsd ha (43%), winter barley – 84 thsd ha (8%). In addition, winter rapeseed was planted throughout 790 thsd ha (92% of the plan).
