Russia harvested over 101 mln tonnes of grains

As of October 9, Russia harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of nearly 40.9 mln ha or 90.5% of the planned areas (37.5 mln ha in 2013). The produced volumes reached 101.1 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight (82.6 mln tonnes in 2013). The average yield totaled 2.5 t/ha (2.21 t/ha in 2013), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 22.4 mln ha, or 91.1%. The production totaled 59.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.66 t/ha.

Russia harvested winter and spring barley throughout the areas of 8.7 mln ha or 95.8%. The produced volumes totaled 20.7 mln tonnes of the grain, with the yield of 2.37 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested maize for grain throughout 1.4 mln ha, or 54.2% of the planted areas. The produced volumes reached 6.7 mln tonnes with the average yield of 4.65 t/ha.

Russia harvested rice throughout 137.8 thsd ha, or 70.3% of the cultivated areas. The production reached 911.8 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 6.62 t/ha.

Russia harvested sunflower seed throughout the areas of 4.5 mln ha (66.1%). The production totaled 6.7 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 1.49 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested winter and spring rapeseed throughout 927.1 thsd ha or 77.9% of the planned areas. The production volumes totaled 1.4 mln tonnes with the yield of 1.46 t/ha.

Russia harvested 1.4 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 1.1 mln ha (53.6% of the plan), with the yield of 1.34 t/ha.

Also, Russian agrarians continued planting winter grains for the harvest-2015. As of the reporting date, Russia planted winter grains throughout the areas of 14.9 mln ha (85.9% of the forecast), against 9.2 mln ha in 2013.
