In 2014 Ukraine will harvest nearly 60.5 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Ihor Shvayka on October 15, 2014.
According to the announcement, in January-September Ukraine harvested 80% of grains, so the general production will exceed the previous rate by 16%.
The Minister noted the winter crop planted areas will total 6 mln ha in 2015.
