On October 21, 2014, Russia held the regular stock exchange trading within frames of public grain purchasing interventions, and purchased 20.115 thsd tonnes of grains of the harvest-2014 to the interventions fund from the general proposed volume of 32.13 thsd tonnes, at the sum of 106.89 mln RUR, declared the press-service of National Mercantile Exchange CJSC.

In particular, the fund purchased 2.7 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat (from the proposed volume of 4.32 thsd tonnes); 0.81 thsd tonnes of 5-grade wheat (from the proposed volume of 2.295 thsd tonnes); 4.725 thsd tonnes of 1-grade rye (from the proposed volume of 7.155 thsd tonnes), and 11.88 thsd tonnes of barley (from the proposed volume of 14.458 thsd tonnes).

The trades on 3.78 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat were invalidated.

The weighted average prices of the grains sold to the intervention fund were as follows:

- 3-grade wheat – 6400 RUR/t;

- 4-grade wheat – 6304.2 RUR/t;

- 5-grade wheat – 6008.7 RUR/t;

- 1-grade rye – 4989.4 RUR/t;

- feed barley – 5148.4 RUR/t.

Since the beginning of the stock exchange trading (September 30, 2013) the intervention fund already purchased 161.44 thsd tonnes of grains at the general sum of 887.37 mln RUR.
