In October 2014 the export volumes of grains from Russia may rise to 3.5-3.6 mln tonnes, as opposed to the previous estimations at the level of 3.3-3.4 mln tonnes, announced Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on October 22.

Also, he noted that the expected rate will significantly exceed the results of the same month in 2011 and 2013 - 2.88 mln tonnes and 2.28 mln tonnes, respectively.

The expert noted that during the first half of the month Russia exported 1.78 mln tonnes of grains, down 0.7% compared with the same period of September 2014.

In particular, there was observed a significant decline of wheat exports to 72% in the general export structure of grasins, to 1.28 mln tonnes, against 83% (1.49 mln tonnes) in the first 15 days of September. At the same time, the share of barley increased to 18% (313.8 thsd tonnes), against 10% (180.8 thsd tonnes), maize – 9% (158.5 thsd tonnes), against 6% (112.4 thsd tonnes), added I.Pavensky.

During the first 20 days of October 2014, export shipment of grains through the deep-sea ports of the Russian Federation totaled 1.11 mln tonnes (on September 1-20 - 698.5 thsd tonnes). The general volume of orders for grain shipment through the specified ports in the reporting period reached 1.7 mln tonnes.

Thus, the share of deep-sea ports in the Russian grain exports may increase to 52%, against 45%, concluded I.Pavensky.
