Russia exported 20.5 mln tonnes of grains in 2014

In January-September of 2014, Russia increased the grains exports to 20.57 mln tonnes (up 78.4%) as opposed to the previous year rate, declared Rosstat on November 21.

The wheat and meslin export volumes totaled 15.59 mln tonnes which exceed the last year rate as of the same period by 79.2%. In the first 9 months of 2014, the Russian maize exports increased to 2.68 mln tonnes (up 2.5 times), barley – to 2.05 mln tonnes (up 29.3%).

Besides, the wheat and rye-wheat flour shipments increased to 77.8 thsd tonnes (up 13.9%), the sun seed exports reached 74.8 thsd tonnes (up 3.1 times).

Meanwhile, the Russian rice shipments decreased to 83.6 thsd tonnes (down 8.5%).
