In January-October of 2014 in the Ukrainian sea ports the grain shipments increased to 25 mln tonnes (up 45%) as opposed to the previous year rate.
Thus, grain shipments rose in Yuzhny (up 75%), Berdyansk and Reni ports. Meanwhile, the Azov Sea ports were charged by grain volumes from the Crimea.
Generally, the grain is exported by the sea ports, however the truck shipments increased by 10% in the recent 3 years. In 2013 nearly 61% of agricultural cargoes were delivered to the ports by trains, 36% - by vehicles, 3% - by river.
Besides, in 2014 over of 90% of grains and oilseeds were exported from the Odessa and Nikolayev oblast ports.
