Agrarians of Kazakhstan harvested grains throughout the areas of nearly 14.5 mln ha, or 96.5% of the plan, and produced nearly 18.3 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight. The average yield totaled 1.26 t/ha, declared Asylzhan Mamytbekov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on November 17.

At the same time, agrarians harvested oilseeds throughout 64% of the planned areas.

The Minister stressed that despite rather difficult weather conditions, agricultural commodity producers showed good results of harvesting works, but the losses may be much higher. According to him, some raions of North Kazakhstan and Kostanay oblasts still continue the harvesting campaign, two raions of Akmola oblast almost completed the campaign, and all other areas completed grain harvesting works.

The grain harvest in the current year is expected at 17.6 mln tonnes in clean weight, which allows increasing the export potential to 7 mln tonnes, concluded A.Mamytbekov.
