Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY, and as of December 5, Ukraine exported 15.85 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 10% compared with the same period of 2013, declared SC Derzhzovnishinform (DZI) on December 5.

Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain, Iran and Turkey were the main countries-importers of Ukrainian grains. Ukraine continues rising its export potential, primarily due to the higher production volumes and increased rates of crop yields (in 2014 the yield is estimated at 4.34 t/ha, against 4.07 t/ha in 2013), said Olga Yakubina, expert of Derzhzovnishinform.

According to her, in 2014/15 MY the export volumes may reach 35 mln tonnes, up 3 mln tonnes compared with the previous year, but the final index will depend on the political and economic situation in the country, and the world market situation.
