In November 2014 the export volumes of Russian grains totaled 2.99 mln tonnes, a decrease of 13% compared with the previous month (down 432.1 thsd tonnes), announced Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on December 9.

A significant reduction of grain export volumes at the end of the reporting month mainly caused the reporting indices, said the expert.

As of the structure of Russian grain exports in November, I.Pavensky noted some decline of the wheat share in the general volume of grain supplies - from 72% in October, to 68.5% (2.048 mln tonnes) in November. Also, the share of maize slightly decreased - from 8%, to 7.7% (230.9 thsd tonnes). At the same time, the share of barley increased from 18.3% in October, to 21.3% (636.6 thsd tonnes) in November.

Also, he added that in November the deep-sea ports of the Russian Federation provided 48.6% (1.45 mln tonnes) of grain exports from the country.

In December 2014 Russia may export nearly 2.9-3 mln tonnes of grains, said the expert.
