As of December 12, sprouts of winter grains in Ukraine appeared throughout the areas of 7.4 mln ha, or 95% of the planned areas, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on December 12.
According to the announcement, as of the reporting date 82% of the sprouted areas were in good and satisfactory condition (6.1 mln ha), and 18% - in poor and thinned condition (1.3 mln ha).
According to experts of the Ministry, the sprouts of winter crops still did not appear throughout 362 thsd ha mainly in Nikolayev, Kirovograd and Lugansk oblasts. The further condition of winter crops will depend on weather conditions - primarily on rainfalls and air temperature conditions.
