The Government of Russia proposes to all participants of the grain market, and exporters in particular, to take part in stabilization of the domestic market, i.e. to temporary stop all export transactions and focus on the domestic market, declared the newspaper Kommersant on December 19, referring to its source from the meeting at Arkady Dvorkovich, Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, dd. December 17.
Such approach of the Government was caused by a sharp increase of grain prices on the domestic market, as well as grain deficit in the major cities including Moscow, said another source.
In addition, the Government was proposed to impose the export duties on grains, while there should be fixed some limit of allowable grain exports, after overcoming of which the duties will work.
