Imposition of the export duties on Russian wheat will reduce domestic prices for the grain by nearly 15% - to the level of public grain interventions, declared Arkady Zlochevskiy, President of the Russian Grain Union, on December 26.
According to him, the level of the export duties on wheat is quite prohibitive (nearly 50 USD/t), taking into account the current market prices.
As for the situation with wheat exports until the entry into force of the duties (February 1, 2015), the expert expressed the opinion that the foreign trade operations will be realized in a "point" method. There will be no massive export trading with grains, as it was observed in the previous months.
