In the period of January 1-10, 2015 Russian grain exports significantly decreased compared to the same period rate of 2014, stated the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) of the Russian Federation.

Thus in the stated period Rostov oblast ports exported 40.5 thsd tonnes of grain and its by-products, including wheat – 25.1 thsd tonnes as opposed to the rate of 2014 (189.1 thsd tonnes of grain and its by-products, including wheat – 95.2 thsd tonnes). Meanwhile Krasnodar Krai ports shipped the same volume as in 2014. Note, the stated ports is the major place for 95% batches of grain and its by-products exports.

The major reason is the significant worsening of the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the grain and its by-products batches and their nonconformity with the demands of the technical demands of the Customs Union TR TC 015/2011 “On the grain safety.”
