As of January 1, 2015, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 13.154 mln tonnes, reported the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agricultural enterprises stored 5.095 mln tonnes of grains, peasant and farming households - 2.556 mln tonnes, grain reception centers and elevators - 4.126 mln tonnes, flour milling plants and other enterprises –1.376 mln tonnes.
In particular, wheat formed the major volumes of the stocks – 11 mln tonnes, including 9.212 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 614.3 thsd tonnes of feed wheat and 1.173 mln tonnes of wheat for seeds. Maize stocks reached 151.7 thsd tonnes, rice – nearly 200 thsd tonnes, barley - 1.333 mln tonnes, rye - 48.9 thsd tonnes, oats - 182 thsd tonnes, buckwheat - 31.3 thsd tonnes, millet - 13 thsd tonnes, and mixture of spiked grain crops - 143 thsd tonnes.
