Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY (July 1) and as of January 21, the volume of grain exports from Russia totaled 22.089 mln tonnes, an increase of 29.7% compared with the same period last season (17.024 mln tonnes), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on January 26, referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
In particular, wheat formed 17.341 mln tonnes of the specified volumes (including 80-85% of milling wheat), barley - 3.273 mln tonnes, maize – 1.195 mln tonnes, other grains - 279 thsd tonnes.
During the period of January 1-21, the export volume of Russian grains totaled 1.105 mln tonnes, including 984 thsd tonnes of wheat, 23 thsd tonnes of barley, 84 thsd tonnes of maize, 14 thsd tonnes of other grains.
