According to the official data, in the first 6 months of the current season (July-December) the export volumes of wheat bran from Kazakhstan totaled 73.6 thsd tonnes, which became the maximum index for the reporting period in the previous 10 seasons. The same index in 2013/14 MY totaled 26.3 thsd tonnes, in 2012/13 MY - 19.1 thsd tonnes.
There were observed some changes in the export geography of the reporting commodity. For example, if the position of the leader on wheat bran imports from Kazakhstan remained unchanged (the share of Uzbekistan in the current and previous seasons totaled 58-59%), then China lost its rating level (27% vs. 40%). Iran occupied the third position in the first half of the season (11%). In February 2y 014 the country resumed its purchasing activity after a long break (October 2012).
