As of February 1, 2015, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 11.936 mln tonnes, reported the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 2.249 mln tonnes of grains.
Wheat formed the major volumes of the general grain stocks – 10.039 mln tonnes, including 8.224 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 531 thsd tonnes of feed wheat and 1.283 mln tonnes of wheat for seeds. Maize stocks reached 127.8 thsd tonnes, rice – 174 thsd tonnes, barley - 1.174 mln tonnes, rye - 43.3 thsd tonnes, oats - 167 thsd tonnes, buckwheat - 29.6 thsd tonnes, millet – 11.1 thsd tonnes, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 122 thsd tonnes.
