CJSC Rusagrotrans reduced its forecast of the export volumes of Russian grains in February 2015 to the level of 1 mln tonnes, declared Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on February 26.

According to him, the previous estimation of exports in February (1.2 mln tonnes) was reduced to the level of 1 mln tonnes. Decreasing of the export demand for Russian grains became the main reason.

In particular, the Russian wheat exports in February will total nearly 400 thsd tonnes, against 2.04 mln tonnes in the previous month. The volume of barley foreign supplies is expected to reach 370 thsd tonnes, maize - 200 thsd tonnes.

According to I.Pavensky, in the following month decreasing rates of grain exports will continue.

The initial forecast of grain exports from Russia in March totals nearly 800 thsd tonnes, including nearly 200 thsd tonnes of wheat, said the expert.
