Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY (July 1) and as of February 25, the volume of grain exports from Russia totaled 24.189 mln tonnes, an increase of 29.1% compared with the same period last season, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on March 2, referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
According to the announcement, the wheat volumes formed 18.792 mln tonnes of the reporting export volumes (including 80-85% of milling wheat volumes), barley – 3.654 mln tonnes, maize – 1.404 mln tonnes, and other grains – 339 thsd tonnes.
During the period of February 1-25, the export volume of Russian grains totaled 869 thsd tonnes, including 322 thsd tonnes of wheat, 316 thsd tonnes of barley, 184 thsd tonnes of maize, and 47 thsd tonnes of other grains.
