According to APK-Inform analysts, in the current year the harvest volumes of winter grains and rapeseed may reach 22.8 mln tonnes, declared Rodion Rybchinskiy, Head of Business Projects Division of APK-Inform Agency, on March 5.
Also, the expert noted that the losses of winter crops are estimated at 8%, and the losses of just winter grains - 7%. Thus, the planted areas under winter crops, which will remain undamaged until the end of spring crops planting works, are estimated at less than 7.5 mln ha. And the undamaged areas under rapeseed - 740 thsd ha.
The winter wheat yield will total 3.02 t/ha, winter barley – 2.47 t/ha, and winter rye – 1.99 t/ha, the harvest volumes of these crops - 18.9 mln tonnes, 2.3 mln tonnes and 242.3 thsd tonnes, respectively. The harvest of winter rapeseed is forecasted at 1.4 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 1.96 t/ha, said R.Rybchinskiy.
Taking into account the forecast for remaining planted areas of winter grain crops, and the general planted areas under grains and pulses at the same level as last season (15 mln ha), the planted areas under spring crops will reach 7.5 mln ha, including nearly 226 thsd ha of spring wheat, 2.1 mln ha of spring barley, and nearly 4.3 mln ha of maize.
