Kazakhstan purchased nearly 500 thsd tonnes of Russian grains to weakening of RUR exchange rates, observed in late 2014 and early 2015, declared Rauan Shaekin, member of the Majilis Committee for agrarian issues, on March 13.

According to him, weakening of the RUR exchange rates in neighboring Russia provided some positive in the sphere that raw materials such as grains, which are not subject to export duties until February, come at the cheaper price. Therefore, the Government purchased 0.5 mln tonens of Russian grains with high-quality characteristics.
