Ukrainian sea ports to perform the bottom dredging

In 2015 the Ukrainian ports plan to perform the bottom dredgin, stated the Head of the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukrain Andrey Amelin on March 18. The total amount appropriated for the stated project totals nearly 1 bln UAH.

In particular in Illichevsk sea port it is planned to reconstruct the sea approach channel with depth bringing to 16 m and the water zone of the first boot basin of Sukhyi Liman with bringing the depth level to 15 m. In Odessa ports the stated rate to reach 14 m, Mykolaiv – 11.2 m, Reni – 4.5 m, Kherson – 8.25 m, Specialized sea port Oktyabrsk – to 11.2 m.

Besides in Mariupol port the channel depth to reach 9.15 m, its water zoen – 9.75 m, meanwhile in Berdyansk – channel depth to reach 8.55 m, and the water zone – 8.4 m.

The Yuzhny port continues the bottom dredging performance: there are conditions for Capesize vessels entering the port with draft of 18.5 m. In Ismail port there was started the bottom dredging with reaching the level of 4.5 m.

Besides it is stated that Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine plans to support navigation depths on Dnepro-Bugsky Sea Port (11.2 m), Kherson Sea Port (8.25 m) and deepwater midchannel Danube-Black Sea (up to 5.5 m).
