The National Association of Agriculture Insurers of Russia supports the initiative of agricultural producers to raise the minimum purchasing prices for grains within public purchasing interventions, declared Korney Bizhdov, President of the National Association, on March 23.

According to him, the Governemnt plans to increase the level of intervention prices taking into account the current growth of production costs. For example, in 2015 in the Central Black Earth region the cost of winter wheat production per 1 ha increased by 31% compared with last year, spring wheat - up 37%, said K.Bizhdov.

Therefore, the National Association supports rising of the minimum purchasing prices, because declining of the profitability of agricultural production adversely affects the applied agricultural technologies, which lowers the yield indices and dramatically increases the possibility of insurance cases.
