In March 2015 the volume of Russian grain exports will reach nearly 1.65 mln tonnes, against the previous forecast of 1.3-1.4 mln tonnes, declared Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on March 26.

The forecast improved, due to activation of barley and corn shipment rates, as well as the exports of the remaining stocks of wheat from port terminals, he explained.

In particular, the March wheat exports will total 500 thsd tonnes, barley - nearly 600 thsd tonnes, and corn - 450 thsd tonnes.

In the remaining 3 months of the season (April-June), Russia will be able to supply nearly 2.7 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, including 1.1 mln tonnes in April, 0.9 mln tonnes in May, and 0.7 mln tonnes in June. At the same time, the exports of wheat in the last quarter of the season will reach 1 mln tonnes, barley - 1 mln tonnes, and corn - 0.6-0.7 mln tonnes.

Thus, in 2014/15 MY grain exports from Russia may reach 28.8 mln tonnes (excluding legumes and flour in terms of grain), including 20.5 mln tonnes of wheat, 5.3 mln tonnes of barley, and 2.6 mln tonnes of corn, concluded I.Pavensky.
