Rusagrotrans CJSC lowered its estimations of the volumes of Russian grain exports in April 2015 to 1.1 mln tonnes, against the previous forecast of 1.2 mln tonnes, declared Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department at Rusagrotrans CJSC, on April 15.

According to him, the volume of current applications for grain shipments in the ports caused the need to reduce the April forecast of grain exports to 1.1 mln tonnes.

In particular, I.Pavensky specified that the April wheat exports will total 400 thsd tonnes, against 534 thsd tonnes in March.

The exports of barley may reduce to 300 thsd tonnes, as opposed to the historic record volume in March (734 thsd tonnes), due to the lack of profitability of export operations with the grain variety. Also, corm exports will reduce - to 350 thsd tonnes, against 440 thsd tonnes in March.

At the same time, I.Pavensky expects some decline of grain shipment volumes through the deep-sea ports of Russia in April - to 547 thsd tonnes, as opposed to 847 thsd tonnes shipped in March.
