In January-February of 2015, Ukraine exported 195.813 thsd tonnes of wheat to the EU countries at the sum of 38.703 mln USD, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine on April 15.
According to the announcement, in the reporting period Italy was the main direction of Ukrainian grain exports among the European Union states, there were supplied 131.127 thsd tonnes of wheat (67% of the export volumes). Also, Spain (29.674 thsd tonnes), the United Kingdom (16.244 thsd tonnes) and the Netherlands (4.955 thsd tonnes) imported large-scale wheat volumes.
As for the exports of Ukrainian corn, in the first 2 months of 2015 Spain (480.715 thsd tonnes), the Netherlands (73.903 thsd tonnes), Italy (35.783 thsd tonnes), Portugal (21.179 thsd tonnes), Germany (12.886 thsd tonnes), and Ireland (12.767 thsd tonnes) were its largest importers among the EU countries.
