As of April 16, Ukrainian agrarians planted early spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 2 mln ha, or 86% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine planted spring wheat throughout 130 thsd ha (93%), spring barley – 1.5 mln ha (85%), oats - 197 thsd ha (84%), and peas - 163 thsd ha (94%).
Ukrainian agrarians started planting corn - as of April 16, the grain was planted throughout 68 thsd ha, or 2% of the planned areas.
Also, agrarians planted sunflower seed throughout 370 thsd ha, or 8% of the forecast.
In addition, agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grains throughout 7.1 mln ha (90%), and winter rapeseed - 738 thsd ha (88%).
