As of April 20, Ukrainian agrarians planted early spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 2.02 mln ha, or 88% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine planted spring wheat throughout 134 thsd ha (96%), spring barley – 1.52 mln ha (87%), oats - 202 thsd ha (86%), and peas - 166 thsd ha (95%).
Ukrainian agrarians started planting corn - as of April 20, the grain was planted throughout 215 thsd ha, or 5% of the planned areas.
Also, agrarians planted sunflower seed throughout 661 thsd ha, or 15% of the forecast.
In addition, agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grains throughout 7.12 mln ha (90%), and winter rapeseed - 741 thsd ha (88%).
