Asia is the major export market for Ukrainian agricultural commodities, declared Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on April 28.
According to him, the majority of consumers used to think that the countries of the former Soviet Union became the main market for Ukraine. But in fact, Asia is the main market.
Also, the Minister added that Ukraine increased the export volumes of agricultural commodities to the European Union countries. According to him, to date Ukraine is developing on a number of free trade agreements with several countries until the end of the year.
